Ramadan – the month of purification and abstinence.  Muslims around the world celebrate this holy month of Ramadan.  During this month the Muslims abstain from eating, drinking, smoking from dawn to dusk. The person who is on fasting spends his time in prayers and reading Koran. The purpose of fasting is to learn humility, patience and sacrifice, and ask forgiveness and practice self-alienation.
